Black Ants is a fashion and furniture design project I completed for my fashion development course during my third academic year at SCAD. In this collection I brought together my love for fashion and furniture design. Through this editorial video and photoshoot I further explore the concept of "Life’s Waiting Room," a serene yet contemplative space where we prepare ourselves for the unknown journey that lies beyond its quiet walls. Through the model's poised and reflective demeanor, I capture the essence of this space, symbolizing the transition from solitude to connection. As they step into the world, adorned in fashion that speaks of strength and vulnerability, we witness the duality of existence. The silence between individuals passing on the street mirrors the unspoken longing for human connection, a poignant reminder that in the vast tapestry of life, we all seek to be heard, understood and appreciated.
